Art and I are pushing octogenarian middle numbers of years here on this planet, and sincerely regret having to shut down our beloved Summerhawk Lakeside Cottages. However, we must look to our "Golden Years" providing a strong dose of less work and more relaxation. Running and maintaining Summerhawk Lakeside's needs, requirements and high standards are simply too much for us now.
We want to thank you all for your loyalty and your patronage, some having shared time with us for only one season, and some having spent their vacations here going into their families' fifth generation which has spanned a time period for over 40 years and others, everywhere in between. This is a bittersweet experience for us, as we both will miss Summerhawk Lakeside Cottages as well as its diverse and fascinating vacationers acutely.
We wish you all the very best of luck in finding another delightful vacation spot where you can shelve your daily monotonies, relax and enjoy a period of time with family and friends, sharing fun in the sun.
Regretfully, Art and Sally Fraumeni

Here's something to ponder: imagine yourself as a being that is free and full of potential, that can go anywhere it wants and do anything it wants, allowing itself to be put into a body that limits this being to experiencing life from an extremely narrow perspective and keeps it in one place at a time, though it can move about a bit. Its vision is limited, its hearing is limited, its movement is limited, its memory is limited. And this unlimited being has put itself into this body--has sacrificed all of its potential for a certain amount of time--in order to learn lessons about love and giving and letting go and being at peace.Read more ...
